Common Leek and Chive Tart

A tart garnished with very tasty leeks and very fresh Common Chives, more original than the traditional Lorraine quiche and yet just as tasty!


  • 1 roll of puff pastry
  • 2 shallots
  • 8 leek whites
  • 20cl fresh cream
  • 1 bunch of Common Chives
  • 20g of butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Salt
  • Pepper


  • Cut the leek whites in half
  • Cut the two ends of your shallots, remove the first skin, slice them
  • Melt the butter in a frying pan, add the shallots, leeks, fresh cream and mix
  • Right after, mince the Common Chives and add it to the pan
  • Take 4 discs in your puff pastry
  • In a dish, spread the puff pastry then distribute the leek fondue in the center of the 4 molds
  • Close the dough on top by sealing the edges with a little water then brown your dough with egg yolk and bake at 200° for 20 minutes
  • Serve hot
